What is the Secret to Joy?

What is the Secret to Joy? Wendy L. Macdonald blog

Whenever I hear the question, “What’s the secret to joy?” —I think of an acronym I learned at church years ago. I don’t remember which preacher taught it to me, but it stuck in my mind like hot glue does to the counter when I’m not paying close attention while crafting.

J – Jesus

   O – others

      Y – yourself

I have told you this so that my joy may be in you

and that your joy may be complete…

Love each other as I have loved you.

John 15:11-12 NIV

I still believe we’re wise to love Jesus and others before ourselves, but if you want to know a bit more about what I think about joy, please take a peek at a blog I’m a guest on this week. Gail asked some good questions and I—being a lover of words—got into the whole interview thing and shared some personal stuff about myself you may not know yet (including a small announcement).

But you’ll have to click on the link below to find out what they are. By the way, Gail’s a lovely hostess—she’ll make you feel more than welcome. ❤

    1. That song sure brings back memories…and I’m so happy, so very ha..aa…aa..ppy I have the love of Jesus in my heart. ❤ Thank you for the detour down memory lane and for your encouraging words, dear Marianne. 🙂

I just love a word in season...please feel free to add an apple to the bowl.
