I don’t know what kind of bird this funny little fellow is, but he was hopping around like a kangaroo. My husband and I couldn’t stop staring at him because he was comical, and it sure was challenging to get a picture of this hyperactive creature.

My husband also brought a camera along on this walk. Usually he just observes the surroundings, but since fall is his favorite season, he was motivated to snap a few shots too.

We enjoy getting out and sharing nature together. It’s what we’ve done since our dating days; I suspect one of the reasons we’ve stayed married for over thirty-three years is because we’ve kept going on our hikes.

Love never fails…

I recently blogged about the importance of saying yes to spending time with your loved ones. It’s now been posted as a podcast. If you’d like to listen in on my six minute talk, you can click on the link at the end of this post. Each Tuesday HopeStreamRadio will post a new podcast of mine on my Walking with Hope page on their site. They’ve been kind and patient with me as I learn the ropes.

How do you stay connected with your loved ones? I’m especially nosy-to-know about ways that don’t impact the family budget. Feel free to share your ideas. Maybe someone (including me) needs some fresh ones.

My husband, Ian, delights to take sneak shots of me. But at least you can see what I really look like when I’m enjoying nature photography. 🙂

      1. Not to worry. We had no damage beyond a leaky window, and I don’t think anyone in Newtown suffered any effects. The TCH in Terra Nova Park had to be repaired, but now that it’s done we can go into St. John’s this weekend as planned. Some poor folks in other areas were not so lucky.

  1. I am enjoying your podcasts. I think it is great that you are doing them. I appreciate your beautiful pictures that go along with your messages. As I was listening to your podcast I was glad to know that people who are either blind or have low vision can have access to your inspired words.

    Blessings,
    Theresa

    1. I made a typo. I meant to say, “I appreciate your beautiful pictures that go along with your messages in your blog.”

I have been making so many typos lately. Sorry about that. <3

      1. Your comment made perfect sense to me. I laughed at my recent typo on Twitter; I wrote “Hot bottom” instead of “Hit bottom”. I had to delete that in a hurry since my brand is not “hot”. 🙂

  2. Thank you Wendy! I love that you still get to go on walks together. That is so special and connecting! My cousin’s grown girls come over and work on little projects with her help. She has a way of making boards with images and words on them. Fun! God bless you!

  3. I’ve been spending a lot of time with family, especially my 2 year old grandson. I’m exhausted when he leaves, but so thankful to have had the time to spend with him. We all get together for Sunday early dinner where everyone pitches in and makes a meal. It’s the best day of the week!
