While my daughter was playing a tune on the piano called: ” Whirling Leaves “, I grabbed the nearest pen and paper(magazine) and wrote this down. Β Music is so inspirational!

    1. Thank you, Debbie! I was enjoying the music of a bird in our trees today. Our elderly neighbors have feeders out, and we have the trees – so we get to enjoy them all winter long. Now, I need to get some bird photos one day…

  1. Autumn is my favorite season. I lived in NY once upon a time and I loved how the leaves changed and the beautiful colors, living in a different climate these days and discovering the seasons aren’t as visually distinctive, I mess that very much. Loved this poem

    1. Thank you. We lived on a small island up higher on the BC coast for a couple of years, and deciduous trees were one of the things we missed the most. But we did get to see whales and dolphins up close! I hope you have a good trade-off too…

  2. Lovely! And I agree that music inspires writing–especially piano pieces–I used to listen to Windham Hill artists, and birthed a folder full of poems!! God bless you–love, Caddo

  3. Beautiful! I love autumn town πŸ˜‰ The leave photos are spectacular! Isn’t it funny how the creativity of others unveils our own – what a gift to be in a home with children playing music.

I enjoy a word in season, so I'd love it if you added an apple to the bowl.
