Fallen apples
Fallen world
Routed plans
Out they’re hurled
Banishment fueled
By cherishing Heart
Consenting their stay
Would bar a new start
Flashing swords guard
Tree of Life
Preventing loss
for husband and wife
New Adam arrives
Upon cursed scene
Conquering death
Firstborn of redeemed.

If Adam and Eve had been allowed to eat from the Tree of Life, they would have lived eternally lost without hope of redemption. It is Love that removed them from the garden of Eden. It was Love that came down to earth as a baby to bridge the gap between fallen mankind and a holy Creator. I don’t know about you – but I wouldn’t want to have lived here, as is, eternally! I’ve got my eyes on an up and coming celestial neighborhood…

Your poem opened my eyes to an aspect of Adam and Eve’s lives that I somehow never grasped, for as many times as I’ve read it: had they not been banished from the Garden, they would have lived eternally without redemption! I’ve got my eyes on that same “neighborhood”.
The apple in the picture also has such a unique red stripe!
Thank you for your visit! I heard this in a sermon, years ago, and I loved the idea that God was motivated by love, not anger. Another reminder that God is love. Yes, He hates sin; but, He does not hate us!

Yes, I’m definitely looking forward to that move–and no packing necessary, Wendy! Whoo-hoo! God bless you big–love, sis Caddo
I often wonder what the trees and flowers will look like there? Do you think CS. Lewis and his buddies will have new books for us to read? Plus all the musicians and their music…

Your opening lines are so gripping! Great thoughts, Wendy. I’m so glad that the fall is redeemed!
Thank you, Melody! I’m so glad for redemption, too!

Just gorgeous . . .all of it! 🙂 And you have me thinking about our celestial neighborhood. Loved that! God bless you, Wendy, as you keep us looking up and for our Jesus.
I wish I could share some of our neighbor’s apples with you, Debbie. They are the best ones I’ve ever had. Sometimes I ponder about the types of fruit that will be in Heaven.
